To suit all architectural styles, we offer a complete range of surface aspects ranging from matte to shiny, achievable on different shades of stainless steel. The stainless steel shade and the surface appearance should be distinguished.
- A stainless steel shade is characterized by its chemical composition. The latter has a direct influence on corrosion resistance and mechanical properties
- Surface aspects are the result of mechanical or physical-chemical treatments of the surface. The same look can be achieved for different shades of stainless steel.
UGINOX Patina is a range of tin coated stainless steels that weathers over time. As this weathering happens, the material slowly takes on a matt finish that is highly valued for roofing. Furthermore, the tin coating tones down the stainless steel’s natural lustre, ensuring that it seamlessly blends into any environment while retaining all the advantages of stainless.
UGINOX Patina is available in two ferritic grades, K41 and K44. The choice of grade depends on the type of environment it will be used in.
UGINOX Top brandishes a matt finish from the moment it is installed. Designed specifically for the building industry, the material meets all the requirements of traditional roofing and easily integrates into all building styles. Thanks to its low weight and malleability, UGINOX Top is simple to install and guarantees good corrosion resistance and high mechanical strength.
UGINOX Top is available in austenitic grades 304/304L and 316L. The choice of grade depends on the type of environment it will be used in.
With a dull finish and uniform, low surface roughness, UGINOX Mat is ideal for elegant, aesthetic projects, including facades, roofing and even outdoor furniture.
UGINOX Mat is available on austenitic grades 304/304L and 316L, as well as on duplex grades DX2205 and DX2304. The choice of grade depends on the type of environment it will be used in.
With a particularly brilliant finish and uniform, low surface roughness, UGINOX Bright is ideal for aesthetic projects that aim to make a striking impression. Its bright appearance is achieved using a final annealing process developed specifically for such applications as building envelopes. Reflecting light and the surrounding environment, with UGINOX Bright, buildings come ‘to life’.
UGINOX Bright is available on austenitic grades 304L (1.4307) and 316L (1.4404) and ferritic grade K36 (1.4526). The choice of grade depends on the type of environment it will be used in.

UGINOX MECA offers a mirrored aspect and a reflective finish and is available in three levels of brightness:
UGINOX MECA 8 ND: non-directional polishing. This finish is characterised by a glass-mirror like gloss that reflects its environment without distorting it.
UGINOX MECA 7 D: directional polishing. The aspect offers a clear reflection and the direction of polishing remains perceptible.
UGINOX MecaBrill: light directional polishing. A reflective aspect where the polishing lines are visible. This polishing method is mainly intended to add brilliance.
UGINOX MECA can be applied to austenitic grades 304L and 316L and to ferritic grade K30. The choice of grade depends on the type of environment it will be used in.
