To suit all architectural styles, we offer a complete range of surface aspects ranging from matte to shiny, achievable on different shades of stainless steel. The stainless steel shade and the surface appearance should be distinguished.

  • A stainless steel shade is characterized by its chemical composition. The latter has a direct influence on corrosion resistance and mechanical properties
  • Surface aspects are the result of mechanical or physical-chemical treatments of the surface. The same look can be achieved for different shades of stainless steel.

UGINOX Patina

UGINOX Patina is a range of tin coated stainless steels that weathers over time. As this weathering happens, the material slowly takes on a matt finish that is highly valued for roofing. Furthermore, the tin coating tones down the stainless steel’s natural lustre, ensuring that it seamlessly blends into any environment while retaining all the advantages of stainless.

UGINOX Patina is available in two ferritic grades, K41 and K44. The choice of grade depends on the type of environment it will be used in.

Finish: Mat
Applications: Roofing, Gutter, Facade
Grade: K41 (1.4509), K44 (1.4521) (Please use the table to check a grade’s compatibility with specific environmental conditions)
